Ellicott City, MD : Three people are injured after a car crashed into a Dunkin Donuts store on Monday evening September 1st 2014

Three people are injured after a car crashed into a Dunkin Donuts store in Ellicott City. Howard County fire department officials were called to the scene Monday evening after the SUV crashed into the front and side walls of the restaurant. Rescuers say two of the victims were walking in front of the Dunkin Donuts when they were struck by the car and pushed through the glass and into the store. They suffered serious injuries and were taken to a trauma center. The driver of the SUV was treated at the scene but refused to be taken to a hospital. It was not immediately clear what caused the driver to crash into the building. The shopping center building was deemed unsafe for customers after the crash.
