Nashville , TN : 64- Years old Wayne Elam Struck and killed by SUV while he walking in Crosswalk near his residence on Saturday Morning ,March 28th 2015

Nashville police have identified the pedestrian who was killed when he was struck by an SUV.

The Police Department said in a release Sunday that 64-year-old Wayne Elam was walking in a crosswalk near his residence around 8 p.m. Saturday when he was struck by the SUV. The driver of the vehicle, 62-year-old Ann Allen, told police she didn't see Elam.

A preliminary investigation indicated failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk was the primary contributing factor to the collision.

No charges have been filed.
