DELAFIELD, WI : 2 dead, 4 hurt in crash in Waukesha County on Wednesday, 20th December 2023

Two 10-year-old boys are dead and four others hurt following a high-speed pursuit and crash in Waukesha County late Wednesday, Dec. 20.

"This is an incredibly difficult event for us to learn about, it’s a difficult event for us to have law enforcement at the scene," said Sheriff Eric Severson with the Waukesha County Sheriff Office. "This didn’t need to happen."

The Waukesha County Sheriff's Office says the driver of the car was a 29-year-old man who had warrants out for his arrest.

According to officials, deputies attempted to pull over the driver for speeding near Prospect Avenue and I-94. The driver did not stop and fled at a high rate of speed before crashing near Golf Road, just east of Greywood Lane.

The driver's two 10-year-old sons were pronounced dead on the scene.
