Vinemont man dies in crash in Birmingham Alabama
A Vinemont man died as a result of a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 59 in Birmingham this afternoon, according to the Jefferson County Coroner's Office.Jeremy Scott Russell, 38, died after he was ejected from a 2007 Suzuki Forenza that crashed in the interstate's southbound lane, deputy coroner Chris Moore said.
Emergency crews at 4:48 p.m. received a report of the crash that happened between the Fourth Avenue South entrance ramp and the First Avenue North exit ramp, Moore said.
"The car ran off the interstate. He was dead on scene," Moore said.Moore said the driver was not using a seat belt.
