DES MOINES, IA : Five people have died in motorcycle-related accidents on Iowa’s roadways on Tuesday, 19th March 2024

So far this year, five people have died in motorcycle-related accidents on Iowa’s roadways.

Sgt. Paul Parizek with the Des Moines Police Department said that two main factors contribute to accidents.

“What we see is that there are some direct relation to driver behavior, whether it’s a person in a vehicle not being attentive to what they’re doing or a motorcycle driving carelessly or recklessly. Those two things always seem to be a component to these crashes,” Parizek said.
