Warren, MI : 1 Was killed and another was hurt this morning when their vehicle flipped over in Warren on Monday, July 20th, 2015

A 26-year-old Roseville man was killed and his male passenger was hurt this morning when their vehicle flipped over in Warren, Warren police said.

The driver who died was not named. His passenger, also unnamed with no other details about him, was taken to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, according to a release.

It stated they were northbound on Mound near Martin about 5:24 a.m. when the driver of the 1998 Jeep Cherokee lost control while making a lane change.

The Jeep left the road, hit the curb and flipped. It struck a fire hydrant on the driver's side roof area, killing the driver, police said.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the accident.

Both occupants were wearing seat belts.

The accident remains under investigation.
