CLEVELAND, TN : 2 school buses crash sending 2 dozen to the hospital on Thursday, 21st November, 2019

A Georgia school bus collided with another while in Tennessee, sending two dozen adults and students to the hospital.News outlets report 19 students and four adults with North Whitfield Middle School were taken to Tennova Healthcare in Cleveland, Tennessee for evaluation, after one school bus rear-ended the other Thursday morning. A student and an adult were taken by ambulance to Erlanger Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Tennessee Highway Patrol Sergeant Alan Bailey says the buses were following each other when a tractor trailer reportedly stopped short. Bailey says the first bus was able to stop but the second bus couldn’t, rear-ending the bus.

School district spokeswoman Kristina Horsley says the students were on a field trip and will return to the school once they’re cleared from the hospital.
