Guilderland, NY : 84-year-old upstate New York woman killed in car crash in suburban Albany on Thursday, May 5, 2016

An 84-year-old woman has died in a crash at the end of the Adirondack Northway in suburban Albany.

The accident involved a city bus and a passenger vehicle driven by 86-year-old Edward Hogan Jr. Authorities say Hogan may have suffered a medical emergency and failed to stop for the traffic light at the intersection of Route 20 and the Northway.

Investigators say Hogan’s vehicle crashed into the side of the bus. His passenger, Priscilla Hogan, died from her injuries after being transported to Albany Medical Center.

Police say three passengers on the bus were evaluated at the scene and taken to another hospital for evaluation.

The accident briefly closed the ramp to Crossgates Mall while crews cleared the scene.
