TUCSON, AZ : A fatal crash that happened near milepost 290 on Wednesday, 26th July 2023

The Cochise County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a driver who left the scene of a fatal crash that happened near milepost 290 at the entrance of Benson on Wednesday, July 26.

The CCSO said three undocumented immigrants were in the vehicle during the crash. One person died and two others are being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities say the driver is described as white or light complexion, thin, and between 6-foot to 6-3. He was wearing a grey shirt and tan pants.

The CCSO said the investigation is ongoing.
