MANATEE COUNTY, FL : Myakka woman hurt in crash on Thursday, 18th October 2018

A Myakka woman sustained serious injuries Thursday afternoon in a three-car accident, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

According to FHP, Korin Marie Seyler, 17, was eastbound on State Road 70, near Verna Bethany Road, when she made a left turn into the path of a westbound truck driven by Jorge Luis Portomene Lope, 35, of North Fort Myers.

The vehicles collided and Seyler’s car spun and struck a car driven by Debra Alison Moroff, 65, of Dunedin.

Seyler was transported to Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Portomene Lope and Moroff were taken to Doctors Hospital with minor injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.
