Motorcyclist dies of injuries from Forestville crash
A motorcyclist who was critically injured in a Sunday morning collision in Forestville has died of his injuries, the CHP said.Gregory Dahl, 60, died Tuesday at Stanford Medical Center, where he was taken after the crash at Mirabel and Giusti roads, CHP Officer Kerri Post said.Dahl was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle on southbound Mirabel Road approaching Giusti Road when a Ford Taurus driver at a stop sign turned left directly in front of him, the CHP said.Dahl, who had no stop sign, lay his bike down on the pavement and skidded into her car, authorities said.Dahl suffered multiple fractures and other injuries, and his bike caught fire, the CHP said. Bystanders pulled him to safety, Post said.The driver of the Taurus, Alice Shoffit, 64, of Forestville and a passenger in her car were uninjured, the CHP said.
