SHELTON, CT : Driver steals good Samaritan’s car after crash, crashes again on Saturday, 11th April, 2020
A good Samaritan had their vehicle stolen Saturday morning when they stopped to help the driver of a rollover crash, according to police.
Connecticut State Police responded to Route 8 south near Exit 12 in Shelton around 6:34 a.m., an accident summary report said.
Troopers found that a vehicle headed south on Route 8 near Exit 12 hit the metal beam guard wire before it hit a rock outcropping and rolled over.
State police said good Samaritans stopped and helped the driver — who wasn’t injured — out of his vehicle.
The driver the passersby helped then allegedly stole the car of one of the men who helped him — a 53-year-old Derby man, state police said.
