Longview,TX : 3 people die in Smith County crash on February, Sunday 11th 2018

Three people were killed Sunday in a two-vehicle crash in Smith County.

The Texas Department of Public Safety on Monday identified the victims as Jaewoong Jang, 34, and his passenger, Mikyung Ji, 29, both of Lindale. They were pronounced dead at the scene. The third victim had not been identified.

Both Jang's sedan and a pickup driven by Gilberto Gomez, 26, of Saginaw caught fire, DPS Sgt. Jean Dark said in a statement. A passenger in Gomez's pickup was killed, and Gomez was hospitalized Monday in stable condition.

Troopers responded to the wreck about 12:35 a.m. Sunday on Texas 110 about 8 miles west of Lindale.
