Hot Springs, AR : HS woman killed in collision on 227 on Sunday, March 5th 2017

A Hot Springs woman was killed early Sunday in a two-vehicle head-on collision on Highway 227 north of Piney, according to an Arkansas State Police preliminary fatal crash summary.

Regina Durham, 45, driving a 2007 Chevrolet HHR, was northbound on Highway 227 shortly after 6:30 a.m. when a southbound 2009 Kia Borrego, driven by Laurence Drashner, 65, also of Hot Springs, reportedly crossed the centerline and collided with her vehicle head-on.

Both Durham and Drashner were transported by LifeNet to CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs where Durham was pronounced dead at 8:02 a.m. It was raining and wet at the time of the wreck, the report states.
