Fort Wayne, IN : No one injured after Car crashes into utility pole Sunday morning, January 10, 2016
A car crashed into a utility pole Sunday morning causing about a mile-long section of Lake Avenue to close for less than two hours.
According to Fort Wayne police dispatch, just before 7 a.m. the car hit a utility pole, causing its wires to catch on fire. It’s not clear if the crash caused any power outages to the area, but according to Indiana Michigan Power’s outage map, about 140 customers were without power after the crash happened.
All lanes on Lake Avenue were closed from Maplecrest to Reed roads, by the Concordia Gardens Cemetery. Police reopened the road around 8:35 a.m.
No injuries were reported.
