Canon, CO : Man killed in western Colorado after collision with CDOT snowplow on Sunday, February 19th 2017
A man died Sunday in western Colorado when the Dodge pickup he was driving crashed into an oncoming Colorado Department of Transportation snowplow.
The man killed in the crash around 1:45 p.m. had been driving north on Colorado 184. He was pronounced dead after being taken to a hospital in Montezuma County, State Patrol spokesman Tim Sutherland said.
"He lost control and slammed into a CDOT plow truck. The plow was down," Sutherland said
The CDOT driver was taken to hospital for observation, apparently not seriously injured, he said. Circumstances around the crash were under investigation.
