Radnor Township, OH : Two-year-old boy killed in Delaware County crash on Tuesday morning, December 13, 2016

A 2-year-old boy was killed in a crash in western Delaware County on Tuesday morning.

The crash occurred at 11:30 a.m. on Route 37, west of Route 203 in Radnor Township, according to the Delaware post of the State Highway Patrol.

Susan Walker, 55, of Delaware, was driving a Dodge Durango east on Route 37 when she lost control of the SUV, went off the north side of the road, struck a tree and came to a stop in a ditch, the patrol said. No other vehicles were involved.

Elijah Fife, 2, of Delaware, was a passenger in Walker’s vehicle. He died after being taken to Grady Memorial Hospital.

Walker and another child in the car, 1-year-old Ellie Fife of Delaware, also were transported to Grady with injuries that the patrol said aren't life-threatening. The patrol didn't have information available about whether the two children were siblings but confirmed that Walker is their grandmother.

The crash remains under investigation.
