Prescott AR : Jennifer Windham, 59 killed after I-30 Four Vehicle pileup on Wednesday morning ,June 17th 2015
A Houston, Texas, woman died Wednesday morning in a four-vehicle pileup on Interstate 30 in Hempstead County, Arkansas State Police said.
Jennifer Windham, 59, of Houston was driving west on the interstate in a 2007 Hyundai SUV when her vehicle collided with the rear of a 2000 Freightliner, state police said. After that initial collision, Windham's vehicle hit a 2015 Volvo that was also traveling west and was then struck by a westbound 1999 Ford truck.
Windham died in the wreck that occurred at 5:07 a.m. Wednesday near mile marker 37, between Hope and Prescott, state police reported.
Conditions were clear and the road was dry at the time of the collision, according to state police.
State police also reported that a Lonsdale woman died Wednesday from injuries suffered in a Sunday evening wreck in Saline County.
Jody Delinde, 57, of Lonsdale was driving east on Arkansas 5 in a 1995 Ford Crown Victoria when she lost control of her car while negotiating a curve, state police said. The car left the roadway to the right and struck a tree.
The wreck occurred at 6:52 p.m. Sunday between Hot Springs Village and Benton, according to state police.
Delinde was taken to Baptist Health Medical Center, state police reported.
State police said it was raining at the time of the wreck.
