Sarasota,FL : Venice crash diverts traffic on may, friday 5th 2017

A driver was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash Friday morning, the city of Venice reports.

According to the city, the crash occurred in the Bird Bay community at about 7:45 a.m. The driver, a man believed to be in his 80s, was evacuated by a trauma helicopter. Traffic is being diverted around the scene while the crash is investigated. Drivers are asked to avoid Bird Bay Drive.
