Lafayette, LA : Four people including an infant died in wreck on Saturday ,August 1st 2015

This weekend’s single-vehicle crash that killed four of the vehicle’s five occupants has significantly added to the number of vehicular deaths in Iberia Parish this year.
Local authorities have, as of around 9 a.m. today, released only one name of the four people killed Saturday when a Mitsubishi Montero SUV flipped over a guardrail on South Lewis Street near the outskirts of New Iberia. The lone survivor, a 7-year-old boy, was treated for his injuries at Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Lafayette.
One of the passengers, Richard Rodriquez, 34, of New Iberia, died of multisystem trauma, according to the Iberia Parish Coroner’s Office. A Coroner’s Office spokeswoman said families of the other three victims have not been notified, but the Coroner’s Office would issue press releases once they were identified.
Investigators continue to work to recreate the scene to determine the cause of the crash.
