Manhattan, KS : A Westmoreland woman was killed in a single car accident on May, Wednesday, 10th 2017

A Westmoreland woman was killed in a single car accident Wednesday morning.

Nicole Lynn Chilcott, 34, was traveling southbound on K-99 when the 1997 Dodge Ram she was driving veered left of center into the northbound lane and left the road. The vehicle then jumped a culvert and struck a tree on the front driver’s side of her vehicle.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported there were no sign of braking or evasive maneuvers. Chilcott was transported from the scene of the accident to Stormont Vail Hospital, where she later died. KHP reported Chilcott was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
