EVERETT, WA : Suspect crashes car while fleeing from motorcycle trooper 2 injured on Friday, September 22nd 2017

A Friday morning police pursuit in Everett ended when the suspects' vehicle crashed on a frontage road near the Hewitt Avenue Trestle, injuring two people.

Trooper Heather Axtman of the Washington State Patrol says the incident began around 7 a.m. when a trooper on a motorcycle tried to pull over the suspects' vehicle for speeding.

The suspect accelerated and took off on eastbound Highway 2, then exited to Homeacres Road. The suspect failed to negotiate a sharp left turn on the road, and the car flipped over into the ditch and crashed.

Both occupants of the suspects' car were injured, and they were taken to the hospital. Their conditions were not immediately available, but Axtman said both were alert and conscious when they were put in the ambulance.

The motorcycle trooper was unhurt.
