Lake Charles, LA : A 27-year-old Jennings man died in a single-vehicle crash on Wednesday, August 30, 2017

A 27-year-old Jennings man died in a single-vehicle crash early Wednesday on La. 26 south of La. 1126, state police said.

A 2013 Chevrolet pickup driven by Guy Ryan Lopez was heading north on La. 26 at about 3:30 a.m. when it went off the road, struck a ditch and came to rest in an open field, said Sgt. James Anderson.

Lopez, who was ejected from the truck, was pronounced dead at the scene, Anderson said. A toxicology sample obtained from Lopez will be submitted for analysis, he said.
