Two are dead and four are in serious condition after a car crash near the Benton County line on Saturday.

The Missouri Highway Patrol said the crash occurred at 2:15 p.m.

The driver of a Ford Explorer was traveling southbound on County Road SE 1301 and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle traveled off the road, struck a group of trees and overturned, ejecting one passenger, before coming to a stop.

The survivors were transported by helicopters to area hospitals.

The men were all from the Kansas City area. The driver and passengers’ ages ranged from 18 to 20-years-old. Only one passenger was definitely wearing his seatbelt.
