Hartford, CT : Mia Farrow's adopted son Thaddeus reportedly killed in Connecticut car crash on Wednesday, 21st September 2016
One of Mia Farrow’s adopted sons reported died in a car accident in Connecticut Wednesday and police were investigating the fatal crash.
The Hartford Courant reported that state troops responded to the scene and found 27-year-old Thaddeus Wilk Farrow critically injured in his car on Route 67 at around 12:45 p.m. Farrow was taken to the Danbury Hospital where he was pronounced at around 2:30 p.m.
The details around the accident haven’t been released. Police said there “was no criminal aspect” to Farrow’s death. Law enforcement officials confirmed to the paper that it was Mia Farrow’s son who had died. Mia Farrow lives in Bridgewater.
Mia Farrow has 11 living children – four biological and seven adopted. Thaddeus’ reported death would be the third adopted child she has lost. She adopted Thaddeus from an orphanage in Calcutta, India in 1994 shortly after he divorce from Woody Allen. Thaddeus was a paraplegic due to polio.
Thaddeus Farrow spoke about being adopted Mia in a 2013 interview with Vanity Fair.
"It was scary to be brought to a world of people whose language I did not understand, with different skin colors,” he said. “The fact that everyone loved me was a new experience, overwhelming at first.”
The Office of the Chief Medical examiner will determine the cause and manner of his death.
