FAIRPLAIN TOWNSHIP, MI : Fenwick man killed in Tuesday morning one-car crash on Tuesday, November, 14th 2017
A Fenwick man was killed early Tuesday morning after his vehicle left the roadway.
Troopers from the Michigan State Police Lakeview Post were dispatched to the one-vehicle crash at 1:31 a.m. on Fenwick Road near Miller Road, about six miles southeast of Greenville.
The crash resulted in fatal injuries to the driver and lone occupant of the vehicle, Kevin Michael Cantrell, 21.
Preliminary investigation revealed Cantrell was driving eastbound on Fenwick Road when he lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle left the roadway and collided with trees along the roadway.
Cantrell was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was wearing his seatbelt. Speed appears to be a factor and alcohol and drug use is unknown at this time, as police continue to investigate the the crash.
Assisting on scene were Montcalm County Rescue 26, Alpha 8, Sheridan Community Fire Department, Montcalm County Central Dispatch and Captain Hook’s Towing.
