Hutchinson, KS : Family of five sent to hospital after two-vehicle crash in Stafford County on Saturday, June 25, 2016

A family of five was sent to the hospital Saturday after being involved in a two-vehicle crash in Stafford County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reports Ashley L. Alvarez, 31, of Newton, around 2:30 p.m. was heading west on U.S. 50 when she struck the passenger side of a vehicle driven by Olive O. Julian, 88, of Stafford, who was heading north on southeast 70th Avenue and had pulled in front of Alvarez’s vehicle.

Alvarez, and most of her passengers, Victor P. Alvarez, 34, Luis Alvarez, 14, and Armando Alvarez, 13, all of Newton, were sent to Stafford County Hospital with possible injuries.

Adriana Alvarez, 9, of Newton, was not injured, but was sent to the hospital with her family.

A hospital official on Sunday afternoon said Ashley, Victor, Luis and Armando were treated and released from the hospital's care.

Everyone involved was wearing their seat belts.
