A crash that knocked down a utility police closed North Tryon Street Friday morning. The road reopened by 6:30 a.m.
Police say a driver cut off another driver and both cars took out the power pole. Four people were involved and two of them ran from the scene.Officials say two people were taken to Carolinas Medical Center with minor injuries. According to police, alcohol was a factor in the crash.No word on charges or citations.
