HICKORY, NC : Alcohol suspected in deadly head-on crash on Monday, 11th March 2024

A suspected drunk driver was killed in a head-on crash in Hickory Monday afternoon, police said.

The crash happened along Highland Avenue Northeast around 4:30 p.m. The driver of a 2007 Nissan Titan pickup truck crossed the center line into oncoming traffic, causing a Ford SUV to swerve off the road and crash into a fence, according to police.
