Cameron, TX : 56-year-old man dies in head-on collision in Cameron on Saturday night, February 18, 2017

A 56-year-old Cameron man died in a head-on collision Saturday night in Cameron.
Officers responded about 7:10 p.m. to the 500 block of West Batte Street, said the Cameron Police Department in a news release. They found Enrique Salcido-Gutierrez of Cameron, the driver of a 1997 Hyundai sedan, dead. Justice of the Peace Gary Northcott pronounced him dead at the scene.
The driver of the other vehicle had minor injuries, and was treated at a Cameron hospital. The collision is being investigated by Cameron Police and the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The Cameron Fire Department and American Medical Response also responded.
