Louisville ,KY : 27-year-old Christopher Lee Harmon killed in crash along northbound I-71 on Monday morning ,june 29th 2015

Officials have released the name of a person who was killed Monday morning in a crash that happened in the northbound lanes of I-71 in east Louisville.

A coroner has identified the victim as 27-year-old Christopher Lee Harmon, of Franklin, Indiana.

According to the coroner, Harmon died from multiple blunt force injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:15 a.m. Monday.

The crash happened at mile marker 7, near the Watterson Expressway. The area was shut down for about four hours.

LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell says Harmon traveling north along I-71 in a Mitsubishi, when the car hit a rock wall. Officials say he over-corrected and went back into traffic. The Mitsubishi then hit a white pickup truck, according to authorities.

Investigators say the driver of the pickup truck and two passengers were hurt, but are expected to recover.
