Orem ,UT : 2-year-old girl injured after Vehicle rolled onto its side on uesday afternoon ,April 21 2015

An injured 2-year-old girl was pulled out of a vehicle by witnesses after a crash Tuesday afternoon on State Street.

The vehicle the girl was in rolled onto its side shortly after 3 p.m. following a collision at 500 N. State, said Orem Police Lt. Craig Martinez. The girl was temporarily stuck in the vehicle, according to Martinez.

“(Passers-by) were able to roll the car back onto its wheels so they could pull the victim out,” Martinez said.

The girl was transported to a nearby hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

“She’s going to hopefully be able to recover, according to our paramedics,” Martinez said.

Northbound State Street was closed at 400 North for about 25 minutes, according to the Utah Department of Transportation.
