Three killed in car crashes in Baltimore region Monday

Three people were killed and another person suffered life-threatening injuries in different car accidents in the Baltimore region Monday.One fatal crash, which happened at about 11:30 a.m., shut the inner loop of Interstate 695 in Overlea at the U.S. 1 (Belair Road) exit for nearly five hours as authorities investigated. The highway has reopened, but the crash is still under investigation, and the victim's identity has not been released.
