Camarillo,CA : Two crashes slow morning traffic in Camarillo on June, Tuesday 6th 2017

Two accidents Tuesday morning on southbound Highway 101 in Camarillo slowed traffic during the busy commute.

A 6:45 a.m. crash between a box truck and a pickup at Dawson Road closed four lanes for about 30 minutes, according to the California Highway Patrol. Lanes had reopened by 7:53 a.m.

The pickup received major driver-side damage, and one of the occupants was taken to St. John's Pleasant Valley Hospital, said Capt. Stan Ziegler, a spokesman for the Ventura County Fire Department. The other person in the pickup was not injured, he said.

The driver of the box truck, which was not badly damaged, was not injured, Ziegler said.

A minor crash at Central Avenue between two vehicles also contributed to the morning traffic woes. No one was injured in that crash, CHP said.
