Utah rider dies in motorcycle crash near Wendover

An Ogden man died Saturday after a motorcycle crash near Wendover.About 9:15 p.m., Quintin Clyde Redmond, 35, and his wife, Michaela Kerr, 30, were traveling west on Interstate 80 when the heavily worn rear tire on their Honda touring motorcycle failed near milepost 8, according to a Utah Highway Patrol news release.Redmond, the driver, was tossed into the eastbound lanes and was hit by at least two oncoming vehicles, according to the release. He died at the scene.Kerr landed on the road and received various minor scrapes, said UHP spokesman Joe Dougherty."It appears the oncoming vehicles’ drivers didn’t know what they hit," the release reads. "Troopers are still on the lookout for those vehicles, which were headed east on I-80."Dougherty said the car drivers are not criminal suspects; troopers just want to talk to everyone involved
