Washington County, AR : Three people killed in highway crashes Sunday September 6 2015
Two Springdale men were killed Sunday when the car they were riding in ran off the road in Springdale in Washington County, according to Arkansas State Police.
The driver of a 2005 Nissan Sentra was driving east on East Emma Avenue around 5 a.m. when the car went off the road, hit a pole and a culvert, and overturned, according to the report. Clament Joash, 28, and Jeffery Debrum, 24, were passengers in the car and were transported to Washington Regional Medical Center, where they were both pronounced dead. The driver of the Nissan is not listed in the report.
A Flippin man also died of his injuries days after he was hit by a car Aug. 21 while trying to walk across a highway in Baxter County, state police reported.
Michael McKenzie, 23, was walking across U.S. 62/412 around 10:45 p.m. when he was hit by an eastbound 2004 Mercury, according to a report released Tuesday. McKenzie died of his injuries several days after the crash. The driver of the Mercury was not injured.
