SARASOTA COUNTY, FL : Crane crash closes River Road in Sarasota County on Friday, 3rd August 2018

South River Road was closed on Friday after a crane crashed, the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office reports.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, River Road was closed between East River Road and Winchester Boulevard at about 2 p.m. as crews worked to remove the crane and clear the road of debris.

Drivers were advised to seek alternate routes.
