Three Rupert men were injured Tuesday afternoon in a crash on Idaho 30.

Just before 2 p.m., someone called police about the a reckless driver on the highway near 1300 West, Cassia County Undersheriff George Warrell said.

Ronaldo Guzman-Vidal, 36, of Rupert was driving a 2000 Chrysler 4-door car westbound on the highway when he crossed the center line and crash head-on into a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado pickup pulling a horse trailer loaded with cattle driven by Jesus Robels-Zubia, 31, of Rupert.

Both Guzman-Vidal and his passenger Jaime Pilar, 37, of Rupert trapped and had to be cut out of the car.

Both were flown to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello. Their conditions were not available Wednesday.

“Alcohol is believed to be a factor inside the car,” Warrell said.

Robels-Zubia was taken to Cassia Regional Medical Center where he was treated and released.

The crash remains under investigation.
