Shelton, CT : Derby man charged in Shelton crash that killed two on Friday, 15th May, 2020
A Derby man was arrested and charged early Friday after allegedly killing two people and injuring another in a February crash on River Road, according to Shelton police.
Rakiem Reid, 30, was charged with two counts of second-degree manslaughter with a motor vehicle, second-degree assault with a motor vehicle, operating under the influence of alcohol, reckless driving and interfering with an officer, Detective Richard Bango said in a release.
The crash, which occurred Feb. 9 on River Road, claimed the lives of Lily Pirulli, 20, and Adrian Miles, 31. Meghan Nealy, 26, was critically injured. Pirulli was the daughter of longtime Bridgeport Police Officer Mario Pirulli.
