Sacramento, CA : One injured in McKenzie County crash on Tuesday, December, 5th 2017
A California man was injured in a car-pickup truck crash near Alexander, N.D.,Tuesday morning, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at 10:55 a.m.
Aaron Jonas, 28, Indio, Calif.,was driving a 2010 Dodge pickup truck north on U.S. Highway 85 about 1 mile southwest of Alexander. A 44 -year-old Fairfield, Calif., man was driving a 1997 Ford Crown Victoria south on U.S. 85. The patrol said the driver of the Ford lost control of the car, it slid across the median into the northbound lanes and the Dodge struck the Ford. The Dodge went into the east ditch, while the Ford stopped on the northbound lanes.
Both drivers wore seat belts. The driver of the Ford was transported by Williston Ambulance service to CHI St. Alexius Health in Williston and later flown by air ambulance to Trinity Health in Minot.
The patrol did not release the name of the injured man. The crash remains under investigation by the patrol. The McKenzie County Sheriff’s Department and Alexander Fire and Rescue Department also responded to the scene.
