LOS ANGELES, CA : 8 hurt in car crash at LA Auto Show on Monday, November 21, 2016

The Latest on a car injuring pedestrians at the Los Angeles Auto Show (all times local):
4:20 p.m.
Police say it's unclear why a driver crashed during a test drive at the Los Angeles Auto Show, injuring as many as eight people.
Police and witnesses say the Fiat 500 was in an area designated for auto show patrons to test-drive cars when it went out of control, jumped a sidewalk and hit a large concrete planter.
The Fire Department says eight people were evaluated for injuries, although it's not clear whether some were struck by the car or shards from the big concrete pot. Six people, including the driver, were taken to hospitals with minor to moderate injuries. None were considered life-threatening.
However, police put the injury total at just seven: five pedestrians, the 24-year-old driver and his passenger.

Authorities now say eight people suffered non-life threatening injuries after a car struck pedestrians outside the Los Angeles Auto Show.
An orange Fiat 500 with an auto show decal apparently ran onto a sidewalk and struck a utility pole shortly after 1 p.m. Monday at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
The decal reads: "Drive today! At the auto show" but it's unclear whether the car was one of those being used for show test drives.
Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey says eight adults were evaluated for non-life threatening injuries. He says five of the pedestrians and the driver, who range from 31 to 48 years old, were taken to hospitals in "minor to moderate distress."
There's no additional word on their injuries.

Authorities say seven people have been struck by a car outside the Los Angeles Convention Center, which is hosting the LA Auto Show.
Police say the accident occurred around 1:15 p.m. Monday outside the convention halls. There's no word on other details of the accident or whether anyone was arrested.
A photo supplied by the Fire Department shows an orange Fiat 500 with a shattered windshield against a utility pole. On the side of the car is a decal that reads: "Drive today! At the auto show."
Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey says seven people who were on or near the sidewalk or possibly in a nearby tent are being evaluated for injuries. There's no word on their conditions.
He says the driver of the car has refused treatment.
