Norwich, CT : Wallingford man killed in fiery truck crash on CT highway on Monday, 19th August 2019

A 61-year-old Walliongford man was killed Monday in a crash on I-395 in Norwich.
Robert P. Neubig, of Signal Road, was killed after his oversized tractor-trailer struck struck an overpass shortly after noon on Monday.
State Police said Neubig “was driving a tractor trailer unit that was hauling an over height trailer. The trailer struck an overpass causing the operator to loose control of the truck and trailer. The truck and trailer unit turned onto its side, the tractor portion ignited and came to uncontrolled final rest blocking the entirety of the highway.”Troopers said a passenger in the truck - Joseph Patrick Spezzano, 41, of Totoket Road in Northford - had no apparent injuries.
