Houston, TX : Two people died after driver of a pickup truck blamed for a Houston-area hit-and-run street racing accident on Tuesday night, April 12, 2016

Investigators are seeking the driver of a pickup truck blamed for a Houston-area hit-and-run street racing accident that left two people dead.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office says the wreck happened Tuesday night and the male driver ran from the scene.

Authorities say the fugitive's truck slammed into a car that was not involved in the racing between stoplights on a feeder road along a parkway. Investigators say the car's driver, Jesse Estrada, and passenger Maria Sabillon died at the scene.

Investigators say two men were in another vehicle that allegedly was racing with the truck. Authorities say those two men checked on the victims but then drove away. They're also being sought.
