GRAVES COUNTY, KY : Motorcyclist killed after head-on crash with pickup truck in Graves on Saturday, December 10th, 2016
A 21-year-old man was killed Saturday evening after a head-on collision in Graves County, Kentucky.
Graves County Sheriff Dewayne Redmon reports that on December 10, at approximately 6:18 PM, deputies responded to Westplains Road, just west of Herman Road, for a two-car crash.
The initial investigation revealed that William House, 63, of Hickory, Ky., was traveling east on Westplains Road.
At the same time, Trevyn Wilford, 21, of Hickory, Ky., was traveling west on Westplains Road on a motorcycle.
The two vehicles met each other at a hill crest and collided with one another.
Wilford was pronounced deceased at the scene. House did not receive any injuries from the collision.
Deputies determined that House, at the time of the crash, was traveling in the lane of oncoming traffic.
House was placed under arrest and charged with reckless driving and reckless homicide.
He was lodged in the Graves County Jail.
The Graves County Sheriff’s Department was assisted on scene by Mayfield/Graves County EMS, the Clear Springs Fire Department, the Sysmsonia Fire Department and the Graves County Coroner's Office.
Wilford was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.
