State police say a 67-year-old man died when his tractor-trailer rig overturned on U.S. 90 near Louisiana Highway 668 near Jeanerette in Iberia Parish. Master Trooper Brooks David (DAH'-veed) says Russell Charles, of Maurice, was driving east on Highway 90 Saturday when his trailer began to leave the right side of the highway. David says it appears the driver overcorrected, sending the truck across the highway and into the median, at which point the trailer flipped over. David says Charles, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene.
