Elmore City, OK : One person dead after fatality collision in Elmore City on Tuesday, March 8, 2016

One person has died after a fatality collision 9 miles west of Elmore City.

Around 11:24 a.m Tuesday., Dakota Weaver, 28, was driving 2009 Chevrolet Silverado eastbound on SH 29, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

Weaver lost control and entered into a broadside. He drove off the roadway to the right and struck a tree.

Weaver was pinned for 35 minutes before being freed by the Elmore City Fire Department.

Weaver was transported by AirEvac to OU Medical Center, where he later died.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
