Pinellas County, FL : 2 seriously injured in head-on crash in Pinellas County on Monday, 23rd August 2021

Two people were seriously injured, including a pregnant woman who miscarried, after a head-on collision in Pinellas County early Monday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

A 46-year-old St. Petersburg man was driving the wrong way on 54th Avenue North for unknown reasons, heading east in the westbound inside lane, deputies said. A 32-year-old St. Petersburg woman was driving west on 54th Avenue North when the man’s car collided head-on with her vehicle in the 4200 block of the road, the Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release Monday. Both vehicles rotated and came to a stop in the westbound lanes.
