HUNTSVILLE, AL : Huntsville Police identify victim in fatal car versus pedestrian accident on Monday, 21st September, 2020

UPDATE: At 1 p.m. on Monday, the Huntsville Police Department released new information related to a Sunday night car versus pedestrian accident.
The driver in the incident initially left the scene but returned shortly after while officers were still on the scene. The unnamed male driver said the pedestrian stepped out in front of his vehicle and he was unable to stop before making contact.
The pedestrian was identified as 64-year-old Richard Green.
Mr. Green was transported to Huntsville Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Criminal charges are not expected.
ORIGINAL: Huntsville police need your help to find the driver responsible for a deadly hit and run.
Just after 9 p.m. on Sunday, officers on the scene said the driver of a car hit a person near Cook Avenue in front of Krispy Kreme.
The victim was rushed to a local hospital, but it was too late.
