HENDERSON, KY : Officials confirm fatal accident in Niagara area on Thursday, 8th August 2019

The sheriff's office has confirmed that the single-vehicle accident in the Niagara area claimed the life of one man Thursday afternoon.

Garry Bartley, 57, of Kentucky 136-East in Robards was killed in the accident.

The truck was located on South Pleasant Valley Road in a ditch on its side, according to the Henderson County Sheriff's Office.

"Evidence on the scene shows the vehicle left the roadway to the right side for an unknown reason and struck a tree, causing the vehicle to roll onto its left side," according to a news release.

Bartley was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by the Henderson County Coroner.

According to Henderson County Dispatch, the single-vehicle crash site located in the 6200 section of South Pleasant Valley Road was discovered by a mail carrier.
