Beaufort, S.C : Four people injured after a two-car wreck in Beaufort on Wednesday evening, October 26, 2016

Four people were sent to the hospital as a result of a two-car wreck at the intersection of Robert Smalls Parkway and Parris Island Gateway in Beaufort around 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Two individuals from each vehicle were injured and transported to Beaufort Memorial Hospital, including one with potentially serious injuries, according to a Burton Fire District news release.

The intersection was blocked off for about an hour while emergency responders attended to the injured and cleared the roadway.
